La Maison Blanche is a traditional French eighteenth century cottage located just outside the village of Treal near Malestroit and Redon, Southern Brittany. There are four other houses in its tiny hamlet which is visited on most days by a bread van so you can buy croissants and baguettes at your front door. The attractive property offers peace and quiet with views both to the front and rear of the house.

Sleeps eight in four large bedrooms. There is also a cot & high chair in the house and another is available on request.

Its location makes it a perfect holiday spot for those wanting both the idyllic tranquility of rural France together with the option of getting out and about and visiting the nearby towns and beaches. The nearest village is just three minutes drive (Reminiac) with its general store (including fresh baguettes and cakes), restaurant and bars. The nearest large town is mediaeval Malestroit, about five minutes away. Here you will find banks, supermarkets and restaurants in abundance. Soak up the sun all day every day; eat outside either in front of the house or in the back garden

Ground floor
The ground floor has a large open plan lounge / dining room and kitchen:

During December 2011 the whole of the lounge/ dining room was completely refurbished: new settees/ dining table/ pictures etc

There is a newly tiled floor, large fireplace and level access to the rear garden, two large comfy settees, stereo, flat screen TV with a DVD player for watching your own DVD`s. British TV with BBC1, ITV and lots of other Freeview channels

The ceilings are supported by large oak beams, as you`d expect in a period French cottage.

The whole of the house is fully heated with radiators in each room if required.... see booking info.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need.
Full size fridge freezer, cooker, washing machine and dishwasher

Why not make an early trip to the bakers and sample a real French breakfast ?

There is a downstairs double bedroom (with double bed), built in wardrobe, traditional wood chest of drawers, large, carved oak wardrobe with shelves and full length mirror (on extreme right edge of shot). There are great views from the window across the rolling countryside

Additionally on the ground floor is a fully tiled bathroom with full bath and wash basin. Separate WC also.

First floor
The first floor is accessed via a spiral staircase.

On the first floor there is one double bedroom with a pine double bed
The room has matching new bedroom furniture; wardrobe, chest of drawers, bed side tables plus hairdryer etc.
Also on the first floor are two separate twin bedrooms with two single beds in one and bunk beds in the other.

The second bathroom with toilet, wash basin and shower is also on the first floor.

The rear garden (below) is accessed from the lounge door, which leads directly out onto a terrace with garden furniture, and BBQ.

After the terrace, there is lawn, and beyond that are open fields with views across the countryside.

The right hand of the two photos the `road` that leads to the even smaller`track` where Blanche is located. Not many passing cars !

Internet connection
We have a free internet facility for the exclusive use of our guests.

This is a self contained private office with unlimited access during normal working hours (Mon-Sat). There is no need to see or speak to anyone to arrange this and you can come and go at your leisure. Access to the office is is direct and it has off-road parking

Use the PC (broadband) to collect e mails and surf the web, all free of charge and in private

We supply detailed directions so you can come to the office whenever you need to use the internet
