La Maison Blanche is a traditional French eighteenth century cottage located just outside the village of Treal near Malestroit and Redon, Southern Brittany. There are four other houses in its tiny hamlet which is visited on most days by a bread van so you can buy croissants and baguettes at your front door. The attractive property offers peace and quiet with views both to the front and rear of the house.

Sleeps eight in four large bedrooms. There is also a cot & high chair in the house and another is available on request.

Its location makes it a perfect holiday spot for those wanting both the idyllic tranquility of rural France together with the option of getting out and about and visiting the nearby towns and beaches. The nearest village is just three minutes drive (Reminiac) with its general store (including fresh baguettes and cakes), restaurant and bars. The nearest large town is mediaeval Malestroit, about five minutes away. Here you will find banks, supermarkets and restaurants in abundance. Soak up the sun all day all day, eat outside either to the front of the house or in the back garden

Ground floor
The ground floor has four rooms; a large open plan lounge/ dining room and kitchen with a newly tiled floor, large fireplace and level access to the rear garden. There are two large comfy settees and a, flat screen TV with a DVD player for watching your own DVD`s, plus British TV with BBC1, 2, ITV1, 2&3, News 24, CBBC, CBeebies, Men & Motors etc. Also UK radio.

The dining area comprises of a large traditional Breton table and a pine dresser.

The ceilings are supported by large oak beams, as you`d expect in a period French cottage.

The whole of the house is fully heated with radiators in each room.... (see booking info).

Why not make an early trip to the bakers and sample a real French breakfast ?

The downstairs double bedroom (below), has a built in wardrobe, a traditional wood chest of drawers, plus a large, carved oak wardrobe with shelves and full length mirror (out of shot on the right edge of photo).

There are great views from the window across the rolling countryside

Additionally on the ground floor is a fully tiled bathroom with full bath and wash basin. Separate WC also.

First floor
The first floor is accessed via a spiral staircase.

On the first floor there is one double bedroom with a pine double bed
The room has matching new bedroom furniture; wardrobe, chest of drawers, bed side tables plus hairdryer etc.

Also on the first floor are two separate twin bedrooms with two single beds in one and bunk beds in the other.

The second bathroom with toilet, wash basin and shower is also on the first floor.

The rear garden (below) is accessed from the lounge door, which leads directly out onto a terrace with garden furniture, and BBQ.

After the terrace, there is lawn, and beyond that are open fields with views across the countryside.

Internet connection
As we live within a few miles of each of the houses you are free to come and use our PC to collect your E Mails. We have a separate office in front of our house and you can pick up your messages there. If you prefer to go to an internet café then there is one in Ploermel which is less than15 minutes drive away. Also Macdonalds at Ploermel has free Wi-Fi access
